The opening film is called "DIVE AND DIMINUTION" the subject manner in this film deals with the lack of venues to play. As most readers know "BLOODIED AND UNBOWED" details the Vancouver Punk Scene from 1978-1983... She has some rare footage of DOA, THE POINTED STICKS, I BRAINEATER, THE MODERNETTES, SUBHUMANS and much more.... She has interview clips from HENRY ROLLINS, DUFF MCKAGEN, RON REYES, RANDY RAMPAGE, GERRY JENN WILSON, GINGER COYOTE, GERRY HANNAH, ZIPPY PINHEAD, JELLO BIAFRA, PENELOPE HOUSTON plus other luminaries... Congratulations to BRIAN KROLL! His band MY SON THE BUM are currently unable to tour. He was recently offered shows in Australia but thought it was just a dream.. I suggested that he find some musicians in Australia who could learn the bands music and tour with them.. So she is back on day time but not as LAURA SPENCER on GENERAL HOSPITAL the role she won an Emmy for. EDEN RIEGEL was also slated to return to ALL MY CHILDREN as BIANCA when the show moved to Los Angeles.. But THE YOUNG AND RESTLESS made her a better offer and signed her up to the cast... KIM and JOE DALLESANDRO did not attend the Horror Film Festival in London Canada.... There was a scheduling issue and then when the plans were rescheduled there was no flights available for the days needed... The worst Tornado to hit Joplin Missouri since 1953 has over 160 victims and so many people missing. One of the missing is WILL NORTON who is 18 years old and had just graduated from High School.. WILL was riding in a car with his father when the killer Tornado hit causing the car to flip several times and his seat belt broke.. He was sucked through the sun roof of the vehicle and has since been listed as missing in action... WILL had his own You Tube Channel called "Wildabeast" where he posted a series of comic diary style video's.... With his talent and good looks he soon became an instant hit on You Tube.. KATHY PECK has been as busy as ever with appointments for ear cleaning and consultation about issues with hearing loss.. Which means that people are becoming aware of preserving their hearing . PETER and TIMM were in the midst of moving but they took time to come out and have some much needed fun... JACKSON & JUSTIN told me about their new home in the Hollywood Hills and how they wanna have a WEEDS/ BIG C party... CHERRY VANILLA told me that her very good friends MARC SHAIMAN and SCOTT WITTMAN who did HAIRSPRAY now have a Tony nominated play on Broadway. It is called "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN" a musical version of the hit Movie of the same name starring TOM HANKS and LEONARDO DICAPRIO... The play is doing great guns at the Box Office...... CATCH ME IF YOU CAN has been nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Musical.. Starring TOM WOPAT (DUKES OF HAZZARD), NORBERT LEO BUTZ, AARON TVETT, KERRY BUTLER and RACHEL de BENEDET ... MARC and SCOTT are also celebrating because NBC has picked up a series called "SMASH" that they have developed and are producing. If memory serves me well they are also very close with JAYNE COUNTY and RANDY JONES.. RANDY appeared in their hit play HAIRSPRAY playing WILBUR TURNBLAD... All in all the party was alot of fun!!!! MARK BEGO was recently in town doing a book signing at Book Soup on Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California... Sadly I missed him.... Song writer JOSEPH BROOKS best known for writing the DEBBIE BOONE / PATTI SMITH hit song "You Light Up My Life" was found dead in his NYC apartment... It was an apparent suicide.. In 2009 Brooks was charged with 82 counts of sexual assault....... Actor JEFF CONAWAY best known for acting roles in GREASE,TAXI and his numerous stints on CELEBRITY REHAB has also finally found peace with his demons... He was taken off life support while in a coma and passed away..... GIL SCOTT HERON had just returned from a tour of Europe and was not feeling well and entered the hospital where he soon passed away... NARAS has caused quite a stir in the jazz community. They have eliminated 31 categories from The Grammy Awards .. Categories that have been eliminated include Latin Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Cajun, Polka, Zydeco, certain Gospel, R&B, Mexican, Traditional World Music...... They feel that the cuts were well thought out.. Although they made no announcement about plans to make cuts to the categories... And it was all done behind closed doors...
