The Ripovs
The Living Wrecks
Press Black and
The Cheapshots

I ditched my High School's
Homecoming dance to go to this show and slam dance.
It was well worth it; I could care less for that school. Once I
entered the venue,
I gave my friends, THE LIVING WRECKS
long overdue souvenirs from my trip to Japan in July.
These gifts set the tone for the night, rightfully so being that
they were
Japanese dirty magazines.
If you want details talk to any
of the band members.
Anyway, back to the show. The first band on was
THE CHEAPSHOTS for which Shane
Wreck
of The Living Wrecks plays rhythm guitar. The band had a killer
sound, fast,
loud and lots of attitude. Everything you would expect from a solid
punk band.
In the middle of The Cheapshots set, ex
BLONDSAI bassist Ho Chi Liana came with the aim
of taunting Shane and having some fun.

The second band to play was
PRESS BLACK, a socially aware
band with an awesome sound and in the words of Cody the guitarist
'the most boring haircuts
in the Baltimore punk scene.' These guys did something pretty rare a
medley
of 3 RUDIMENTARY PENI songs which they
made a contest out of.
Whoever knew who the songs were by got a complimentary drink from
the band.
I knew the answer, however I'm not of age so Shane was dubbed the
contest winner.
After Press Black was done, we learned that a personal favorite band
of mine
THE NIGHTIME DEALERS from Lancaster, PA
had broken up and would not be playing the show.
THE LIVING WRECKS were up next. Alex,
the bassist, looked a bit ridiculous on stage in
his trademark pompadour and big geeky glasses.
The band played a fun set until they were asked for an encore in
which they attempted
BLACK FLAG's Nervous Breakdown. Kevin deserted the band likely to be
beating off to my gift.

As THE RIPOVS were setting up my mom
came to take me home. Im sorry to say I missed their
set but knowing them it probably kicked ass.
