PRETTIER THAN PINK - Chop Suey:
by Steve DIY

Back in 1995 Prettier Than Pink were a hit back in their native home of the Philippines and with tunes like this I know why. Re-locating to California Angelica, Pamela and Melody come and accross their wicked drummer Ann Connolly a lass from Ireland. Between the four of them they have produced a great bouncy Pop Punk album. Taking their main influences the B52“s and The Go-Go“s they have put together a cool ten track album. Every track just leaves you lusting for more and with tracks like “Mars“, “Little Men, Big Cars“ and “Kryptonite“ you know why loving this band makes so much sense. I like how they play as a band though some may find this a tad soft for their ears but others will think this album kicks ass. I“m with the latter. This album kicks ass both musically and production wise. I“d have liked to have seen a bit more packaging wise but hey you can“t have everything you want I guess?! (Sutton) 9/10
