Al Franken


This month's PUNK OF THE MONTH award goes to Senator AL FRANKEN..... AL who started out his career as a comedian/actor appearing on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. After several years as a comedic actor and writer, he became a prominent liberal political activist. FRANKEN was first elected to the United States Senate in 2008 in a razor-thin victory over incumbent Republican Senator NORM COLEMAN, and then won re-election in 2014 over Republican challenger MIKE MCFADDEN. FRANKEN is a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), an affiliate of the Democratic Party. FRANKEN who at one time was part of the crew on the AIR AMERICA... He has written several books and may be now best remembered by how he tripped up Jeff Sessions while asking him questions about his connections to Russia.. So it is with great honor that PUNK GLOBE bestows you with this months PUNK OF THE MONTH award...

KAMALA HARRIS

This month we need to pay honor two people who have been kicking ass as PUNK OF THE MONTH..... This month we also give KAMALA HARRIS the award for her intelligence and tenacity.. KAMALA DEVI HARRIS is an American attorney and politician who is the junior United States Senator from California. She is a member of the Democratic Party, and served as the 32nd Attorney General of California. HARRIS graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, California from 1990 to 98. She served as Managing Attorney of the Career Criminal Unit in the San Francisco District Attorney's Office (1998-2000) and as Chief of the Community and Neighborhood Division in the office of San Francisco City Attorney (2000–03). In 2003, she was elected as California's first African American female District Attorney of San Francisco, defeating incumbent TERENCE HALLINAN , and she was re-elected in 2007. She served from 2004 to 2011. HARRIS was elected California's Attorney General in 2010, and re-elected in 2014. She was the first woman, the first Jamaican American, the first Asian American, the first Indian American, and the first African American attorney general in California. On November 8, 2016, she defeated LORETTA SANCHEZ in the 2016 U.S. Senate election to replace outgoing Democratic senator BARBARA BOXER, becoming the first Indian American, and one of the first biracial women (alongside TAMMY DUCKWORTH and CATHERINE CORTEZ MASTRO), elected to serve in the United States Senate. Since then MS. HARRIS has made a stand along with her good pal MS. ELIZABETH WARREN for not backing down...
