The
Mudlarks are from Italy and are one kick ass band. After
hearing the materail they sent through it was only a
matter of time before they were interviewed. Here´s what

Punk Globe: For the sakes of our readers can you
introduce yourselves to them?
Ale: Yes, we´re the Mudlarks a band which is composed
from Alice(Voice ,guitar), ALe(guitar), Silvia (bass),
Matteo(drums).We´re inspired from the great old sound of
first punk band (like Avengers,X, Dead Boys,
Heartbreakers,Ramones, N.Y.Dolls, Rezillos, Vibrators,
Siouxsie and the Banshees, etc.) and also from a wave of
other bands from the early 80s like Bauhaus, Lords N.C.
, Joy Division, etc.
Punk Globe: So what made you decide to play Rock
N Roll?
Ale: Because we love it, it´s the enjine of our hearts,
the power of our life:we love to play music, meet new
people and travel around the world.
Punk Globe: You´ve released an album through an
American label so how did that come about?
Ale: It happened in 2004 when we played with a
californian band called Put-ons in a squat in italy
called La Scintilla. The bass player is the owner of a
store in orange county, he saw our show, he liked it and
decide to produce us.After this he also booked us 8 gigs
in california where we played with the Dickies, Lurkers,
we get a
great response there...
Punk Globe: What inspires you to write the
lyrics that you write?
Ale: We´re are inspired from personal experiences and
also from the things that happen around us.
Punk Globe: I noticed you toured America last
year so what cities did you take in?
Ale: We played in L.A. (S.Pedro, S.Anna,Corona, etc.) at
the Showcase Theatre, Chain Reaction, Allen Theatre,
where many england punk bands usually play.
Punk Globe: So what is the scene like in Italy?
Ale: We´ve got many good bands that usually play but the
most important scene is in the north and in Rome...in
the south there is´nt a rel scene but always most people
are get in touch with the alternative music (like punk
new wave dark etc.)

Globe: What kind of venues do you get to play and have
you played with some of the larger Italian Rock N Roll
bands?
Ale: Yes we played in Italy with many good bands like
S.t.p., Hormonas, John Woo, FFD,Klasse kriminale, Rotten
Bo!s, Twinkles, Crooks, Valentines etc.
Punk Globe: Being from Italy you must like a
good drink so who is the party animal of the band?
Ale: Well, I think all of us have an animal part which
come out everytime we play, drink and have fun... but
the vomit is not so funny...
Punk Globe: Anything you´d like to add?
Ale: We want to play in England soon,and hopefully meet
