Interview With Fraulein Lilith
by Steve DIY

I was flicking through a few sites and came across Fraulein Lilith and thought she had some pretty cool photos and ideas so I contacted her for an interview. Here is what she had to say:

Punk Globe: First off can you introduce yourselves to our readers?

Fraulein Lilith, alternative/fetish/art model, have a BA degree in glass art, currently doing another degree of BSc in Psychology, 25 years old, white, dark hair, 5´9", 9 1/2 stone, extrovert, no previous criminal record.

Punk Globe: So what made you re-locate to the UK instead of other European Countries?

I guess, I needed a change. People in my country are very negative (we always to the sucide charts) about themselves and everybody else. The whole coutry is very lethargic and judgemental and sexist. This makes me feel claustrophobic. Although officially men´s and women´s rights are equal, but the reality is a far cry from it. When I decided to lose my virginity, I was 18 and never had a boyfriend before, so I just picked up a guy in bar as you do. Afterwards I still did not have a boyfriend, but I discovered that I loved sex, so the only option (and good fun) was casual sex. But men who do it, do net get judged at all, well, maybe just considered less serious. However, women immediatly are labeled as "cheap" and "whores". Even women themselves are sexist against other women. The people there do not see the difference between sexually liberated woman and a whore. A sexually liberated woman chooses who to sleep with and a whore is being chosen.

Punk Globe: How long have you been in London and any fave places you would recommend to visitors?

I have been here 5 years. Each country has two prices: one for tourists and one for locals. If you don´t know London, you will spend a fortune and will not get nothing for your money. The places I´d recommend to visit are: Misato Japanese restaurant in Wardour Street in Soho, near Chinatown - £5 - £6 for a main course, which I normally share with someone else, and still feel like I´ve had too much to eat! The food quality is authentic. For all goths/punks/alternative kids - Slimelight goth club in Angel, Devonshire Arms pub in Camden, and just Camden in general, Torture Garden fetish club (hmm...I should really start asking them for commission, heh! ). Art lovers - National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. For the architecture and beautiful views, besides all the most famous places, visit Richmond, Hampstead Heath (especially Kenwood House), Primrose Hill, Kew Gardens (massive botanical gardens and park).

Punk Globe: How long have you been modelling and what got you interested in this industry in the first place?

I have been modelling for 4 years now. Modelling industry has always been interesting to me, or, to be precise, alternative and artistic photography. When I came to London, I got a big boost to my confidience, because people say much more compliments here, as opposed to my country, where they only do so if they are about to get into bed with you, changed my hair to red and short, realisd, that I did not look as bad as I thought and phoned Brian Southam - a photographer, who advertised on a fetish site.

Punk Globe: What limits do you have regards what photos can be taken?

It says on my website -" The Fraulein is available for work with professional and amateur photographers in the following fields: fetish, bondage, vintage, nude, glamour, stage performance, video and stills. The Fraulein is not interested in open leg pictures, porn, time for prints or escort work. " There is a special button in "Book Me" page for the people, who think that they can convince me to go against my priciples and morals! :-)

Punk Globe: Some people regards some of the modelling you undertake as degrading to women. Have you any opinions on those thoughts?

I think here you are talking about porn, which I do not do, and every thinking individual will admit, that porn and art are two different things. The people who think these two are actually the same, usually do not have even basic general education and their opinion does not bother me in the least. On another hand, talking about actual porn, it is not degrading (either for women or for men), but is in most cases (bot not all) mentally damaging. I have made this conclusion after meeting a lot of porn actors and actresses. After a while they start suppressing what they actually want and start doing what they are expected to do, even if this is totally unacceptable to their nature. This applies to their everyday life as well as professional life.

Punk Globe: How old was you when you under took your first full frontal shot?

21. Oh, I have some pictures of me in a bath, when I was less than one year old. Does that count? It is full frontal.

Punk Globe: Outside of modelling what do you like to do for fun?

I love reading modern classics, such as T. Capote, H.Boll, R.Gary, A.Nin, R.m.Rilke, non commercial cinema, my favourite directors are E. Kusturica and P. Almodovar. I can never get enough of good films and books! My favourite actor is James Spader (Secretary, Crash, etc) - watching a film with him has the same effect on me as spring on cats! Also, my university studies take up a lot of my time, and I love reading the compulsory literature, especially about neuropsychology.

Punk Globe: I presume you like music so what bands do you listen to the most?

Oh, they differ everytime. New Wave is my favourite era for music, so Ultravox, the early Depeche Mode, OMD, Balaam and The Angel, A Flock Of Seagulls. I also love the provocative and talented Marilyn Manson, Trent Reznor (mmm...another red hot man!). Jazz, the original soul divas and Peggy Lee are always good for a relaxing evening. Another times I listen to electro, like Goldfrapp or Felix Da Housecat. One type of music I hate fur sure is all this rap/hiphop/r&b - cheap sleazy and primitive!

Punk Globe: So what goals have you set yourself in 2006 regards your modelling career?

My modelling career is in a dormant state now, because I have to concentrate on my studies, which I find so exciting! With modelling you have to keep hunting for jobs, make sure you visit all the main fetish parties and make friends with the right people. To be honest, modelling is fun, but not the main goal in my life. I really hardly have any time for the handful of real friends, let alone superficial! However, if I get en email from a photographer, who sounds serious, I am always over the moon!

Punk Globe: You´re at a party and your friends strip you naked. Do you beg for your clothes back or carry on partying nude?

It is hard to imagine my friends doing that. We mostly tend to have very civilized parties these days, sitting in the living room comfortably and discussing politics, literature, travel or just laughing and joking. I guess,it is called getting old. But if for some strange reason they decide to do that, I would get concerned about their mental state and what exactly they took to alter it to such a stage! No, I would not be embarrased - most of them have seen me naked in real life or on my site, or are models themselves. If there was some fit, good looking stranger among them, I would ask him to cover me with his hands :-)

Punk Globe: Anything you´d like to add?

Well, as far as I can recall, this is my first interview, so make sure to keep the rights, so you can sell it again, when I become famous! Mr. Reznor and Mr. Spader - not that you know of me, feel free to give me a ring - separately or both at the same time. Haha!

Thanks to Fraulein Lilith for doing the interview and be sure to check out her site. It´s well wicked.
