

THE MYSTERY OF THE CANDY DARLING STOLEN PAINTING!!! By Jayne County Why the HELL would anyone wanna steal this painting??? Out of all the paintings left in the locked closet of the Gershwin Hotel, why this one??? Kevin Kushel says he left it locked securely away in a closet and that the painting was safe! Now it is gone! Kevin of OvoWorks who promote alot of Warhol inspired art shows, all around the globe accepted my painting to be put up in a Warhol tribute show at the Gershwin Hotel. The painting never made it up on the wall! Kevin sent me countless emails saying that the painting would appear in a future world touring Warhol show. He went away to Paris and that was it! The painting disappeared! I have also received just a few emails from the owner of the Gershwin, Ms. Suzanne Sierentango saying she was taking care of the matter. Well, that was months ago. Still no word. And no one has come forward to offer me any compensation for the painting! Someone, somewhere, is either lying or the painting was simply STOLEN! And since OvoWorks and Suzanne Sierratango, were left in charge of the painting, they must take responsibility! What kind of organizations take an artists painting, especially one so personal as this one, and then not only LOSE it but then take no responsibility and not even send me an email offering me any kind of compensation. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE!!! I have already spoken to the POLICE IN NYC about the matter and I will be going up to NY soon to file stolen art * charges against both the Gershwin and OvoWorks. Also I have gotten a very good lawyer. Also here is some info if anyone wants to contact any of these people and throw in their 2 cents worth, they are welcome! They must know that this matter is not going to go away! And the more people that know of this irresponsible and unprofessional behavior, the better! I would not want other artists to go through this! I hope Suzanne will step forward and settle this. She said she would but I have not heard a word from her in ages!!! I would hope that both The Gershwin, OvoWorks and Kevin Kushel would be professional and come up with some sort of compensation before it goes to court and they end up paying a fortune in court costs and medical bills for both my mental and physical anguish!
