Support Kathy Peck and H.E.A.R.
Article By: Nancy Davis

Her husband publicly disclosed the divorce and long term relationship he was having with another woman for all of their friends and family to see. This was a very hurtful, humiliating and shocking post that blindsided Kathy.

Kathy, now 65, is scrambling to survive and keep the home she’s been in on the 1400 block of Lyon Street in San Francisco, since 1993. Her home has also served as her work place and the offices of award winning, nonprofit organization H.E.A.R.(Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers) since 2000.

Kathy, who is hearing impaired, is the former bass player for the well known 1980’s San Francisco all female band "The Contractions". Kathy earns a modest income from H.E.A.R. spreading the word about hearing protection to children and adults, musicians and music fans alike. Kathy’s work with H.E.A.R. has influenced a generation of people by raising awareness about hearing loss and helping preserve hearing in our music industry, schools and beyond.

Kathy now needs our help to pay for her legal council to protect her from a the sale of her home and the loss of her H.E.A.R. nonprofit offices. PLEASE help Kathy save this beloved, invaluable nonprofit organization that serves our community and help her to remain in her home in San Francisco.
