I got a mail
from Squeaky regards one of her bands going out on tour. Even
though I'd heard of Girlush Figure I
hadn't
a clue Squeaky was in them. I also really hadn't checked them
out musically wise - Probably too much partying at the time.
Well I checked out some of their stuff and thought they were
pretty cool and being as Squeaky is well cool anyway I decided
to give them an interview. Here's what Squeaky had to say.
Punk Globe:
First off can you introduce Girlush Figure to our readers?
Absolutely .....
Squeaky - Vox & Guitar
Rita Mae - Drums
Sami - Bass
Punk Globe: So what made you decide to get off your
butts and do the up and coming tour?
Squeaky: Hahaha.
Well we are all such good friends and we only get to see each
twice a year and we always jam when we
do. So we asked ..."how can we spend time together, party & jam
for weeks ..... Oh Yeah, lets tour"
Punk Globe: Talking of the tour what cities are you
taking in?
Squeaky: We are
sticking to mostly the mid west. We are hitting Baltimore & DC
along with Indianapolis, Tennesse, Columbus and a few others
Punk Globe: Are there any releases planned for this
year?
Squeaky: We dont
have anything planned but who knows, maybe we can get a live
album out of this tour.
Punk Globe: I know you all play in different bands so is
this going to be farewell thing for Girlush Figure?
Squeaky: No we will
never have a farewell tour, we're not KISS. We havent been
regularly active since i moved to California but we still get
together and play shows every once and awhile.
Punk Globe: So I presume you must have pretty good fun
on tour so any previous antics you'd like to share with our
readers?
Squeaky:
Oh my god we have too many! Rita Mae & I once tried to fix the
muffler on our van by wrapping a shirt around it and it just set
it on fire.
Punk Globe: So is there any room for an English Fanzine
writer in your van?
Squeaky: Steve,
there is always room for you.
Well I'd better get out my passport and
pack a clean pair of boxers:-)
Punk Globe: Oh who you're going on tour with?
Squeaky: We will be
touring with Downtrodn

they are out of Columbus OH and have been good friends of ours
for years.
Punk Globe: Any chance of dropping by the White House
and twatting George Bush for all the Punks and
Skinheads out there?
Squeaky: You know
i'd love to!

Punk Globe: So why should people go and see Girlush
Figure when you're out on the road?
Squeaky: Hahahaha,
because we know how to rock hard, is that what you were looking
for?
Yeah but more like 'Fit Young Ladies who
rock hard'.
Punk Globe: Anything you'd like to add?
Squeaky: I'd like to
