When Punk Globe was putting together Top 10's- Pancho/ Oscar listed The Duel in his list. I remembered that I had them for pals on My Space so I decided to check them out.. I then discovered my pal Fleur was dating Andy Thierum the guitar player for The Duel-  so she sent me this CD.  Released in 2006 this CD rawks.. Great musicianship and vocalist Tara Rez (who also plays bass in the band)  has a voice that has been compared to Pauline Murray, Poly Styrene and Siouxsie Sioux...My favorite track is The Duel with Knox from The Vibrators and special kudos to  Pet Sematary which is a live version of the Ramones song.. I am happy that bands like The Duel exist paying homage to their old skool roots...
