Punk Globe: What is your current state of mind?
Dee Dee Russell: Like the last lap at a triathlete race that you know you're gonna win but you're running by yourself? I'm artistically possessed. Producing/editing documentaries is sweet insanity.
Punk Globe: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Dee Dee Russell: Sunbathing, swimming and catching a buzz at Dukes Place, Waikiki, Hawaii.
Punk Globe: What is your greatest fear?
Dee Dee Russell: "Hipster" art appropriation- as we Black Bohemian Chicks get bitten so much that we need rabies shots!
Punk Globe: Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Dee Dee Russell: Andy Warhol. Or one of Stevie Wonder's baby mamas!
Punk Globe: Which living person do you most admire?
Dee Dee Russell: Beyonce's wig makers are magically delicious but Oprah is a Godde$$!
Punk Globe: What is the trait you most deplore in yourself.
Dee Dee Russell: The ability to eat an entire Southern fried chicken or a 2 dozen fried chicken wings in one sitting. Hey! I'm no passer- I like watermelon, too.
Punk Globe: What it the trait your deplore most in others?
Dee Dee Russell: "San Francisco Straight" bisexual/gay "men" claiming heterosexuality while being closeted and living openly hypocritical lives- am happy to out them and I do!
Punk Globe: What is it that you most dislike?
Dee Dee Russell: My eldest sister Helen M. Dixon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin most def is an "it." As she literally elder abused my Mother to death! That story is in the documentary.
Punk Globe: What do you most value in your friends?
Dee Dee Russell: The ability to remain sane.
Punk Globe: What is your favorite journey?
Dee Dee Russell: Going to Dukes Place on the Waikiki Strip, as a girl in Milwaukee,Wisconsin, Hawaii seemed so exotic.
Punk Globe: What is your most treasured possession?
Dee Dee Russell: That "Best of San Francisco Most Outrageous Television Personality in the Bay Area" award from the San Francisco Weekly, ensuring my legacy in this, America's most eccentric city.
Punk Globe: What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Dee Dee Russell: Humility! It's passive aggression.
Punk Globe: On what occasion do you lie?
Dee Dee Russell: When I delete and block someone on Facebook for being a nutcase (the number is rising!) then it's squirmy seeing them at parties.
Punk Globe: Which living person do you most despise.
Dee Dee Russell: My sister, who, in this age of Oprah and Dr. Drew, has thus far refused to acknowledge that she's a sociopathic elder abuser.
Punk Globe: What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Dee Dee Russell: Since my two favorite family members are dead- damn it I could kill them for that!- King Tut aka Tuttykins the 19 year old Tabby Cat-and Stevie Wonder.
Punk Globe: When and where were you the happiest?
Dee Dee Russell: Walking around San Francisco. If you forget about the urine scented streets & aggressive homeless assholes this is one helluva beautiful city!
Punk Globe: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Dee Dee Russell: I would suntan to become even darker. Too many self-hating Blacks bleaching themselves, it's an epidemic!
Punk Globe: What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Dee Dee Russell: Producing a multiple award winning 16 year old weekly underground television with my original animation and womanist rants to a generation of San Franciscans.
Punk Globe: If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
Dee Dee Russell: I'd change Daddy's astrological sign to the more paternal Cancer. He's Aquarius, January 28, 1933-lousy with his seven kids!
Punk Globe: What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Dee Dee Russell: Going to my high-functioning autistic brother's Facebook page & reading the insensitive comments, too many people do not understand the mentally challenged thus mocking them which is why I'm making a documentary about his life.
Punk Globe: What is your favorite occupation?
Dee Dee Russell: My current one- a documentary filmmaker.
Punk Globe: What is your most marked characteristic?
Dee Dee Russell: Besides my supple moist cocoa skin? Constant art production.
Punk Globe: Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
Dee Dee Russell: Fern the tender hearted animal loving little heroine of the book Charlotte's Web.
Punk Globe: How would you like to die?
Dee Dee Russell: At 110 years asleep in the spoon position with my husband in Hawaii.

Dee Dee Russell: "Everything's beautiful!"
