Let's Talk Punk with
Colleen Caffeine
Interview By: Lisa/PunkrPrincess

Hi Colleen thanks for taking the time for the interview

PUNK GLOBE:
Is it difficult being a female in the music scene and do you think females are treated differently?

Colleen Caffeine:
I really don't know. I've always been a female so I don't know how it would be if I wasn't. I mean I don't know what I'm missing advantage wise since I don't have a cock. If I had a cock would I be smarter? Would I be more talented? I know I'd get paid more in the corporate world but then I'd have a cock always hanging off my body. Really guys, how do you deal with that stuff always being there in between your legs like that. Weird. Boys are weird!

PUNK GLOBE:
How often do you travel for shows and where is your favorite place to travel to for a show?

Colleen Caffeine:
We usually play out of town once a month and in town the same. We go to England every year. That totally rocks.
"We go to England every year. That totally rocks."

PUNK GLOBE:
What jobs have you done other than being an musician?

Colleen Caffeine:
This isn't a job because we don't get paid really . In real life I am a hairstylist

PUNK GLOBE:
What other hobbies do you have besides making music?

Colleen Caffeine:
I play drums (Angel Fuck, Misfits tribute), bass (The Whoremones ,all girl Ramones tribute) and sing (Choking Susan) and am also writing a memoir about my life. I'm a runner and I like to sleep. A lot. Like 12 hours a night. Sleep is under rated. I live my best life in dreams. Sleep is my hobby. In the biggest softest bed ever. I also like to have sex, too much sex with almost anyone. A lot. I'm a big whore. I sleep with everyone all the time

PUNK GLOBE:
What memorable responses have you had to your work?

Colleen Caffeine:
Tattoos. What better way to let someone know they matter than by permanent ink on their skin that they wear around and never take off. Oh and I know you can cover it or laser it but the fact remains that no matter how you hide or disguise it's still there forever.

PUNK GLOBE:
What struggles have you had as a musician and how have you overcome them?

Colleen Caffeine:
Having absolutely no talent in anything has been a struggle but not caring that I suck at everything and just doing anything I want anyways has helped me overcome that

PUNK GLOBE:
How hard do you push yourself?

Colleen Caffeine:
Actually others push me..their criticism, put downs, attempts at suppressing me based on their jealousy or fear pushes me. When you laugh at me ,tell me no, or that I'm not good enough than I will prove you wrong. So thank you for thinking I suck, you suck thinkers!

PUNK GLOBE:
Any favorite venues to play shows or see bands?

Colleen Caffeine:
OK, what are you really trying to say ? What do you know? What did they tell you? Are you threatening me? It wasn't me, I swear.

PUNK GLOBE:
Who are some of your favorite bands?

Colleen Caffeine:
The Ramones

PUNK GLOBE:
What is your dream project?

Colleen Caffeine:
We dig up all the Ramones from the dead ,give them back their life and we rock. Not sure what my roll would be in the band but it's a "dream" project . OK,I guess I'll be on cow bell!

PUNK GLOBE:
What's the best piece of advice you've been given?

Colleen Caffeine:
Not to quit my day job

PUNK GLOBE:
What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue a music career?

Colleen Caffeine:
Don't quit your day job

PUNK GLOBE:
Any announcements or shout outs you would like to make?

Colleen Caffeine:
I'm writing a book ,my memoir, being published by Ellora's Cave called Adventures in Cuntopia ..it's full of sex ,drugs ,rock n roll and dieting advice. Everyone needs to read it. It also holds the cure to cancer.

PUNK GLOBE:
Thanks for the interview keep rockin.
