I
listened to this CD on a whim and was pleasantly surprised.. They are
fuckin' good. I really like Dover on Vocals... In fact upon
reading
the liner notes it seems like Dover
is the backbone of the band- as he
writes all the material.. The music is diverse but come from pop punk
roots.. I can't quite put a finger on who Dover sound like- a
bit Joey
Shithead, a smidgen of Mike Ness with a dash of Shane McGowan
mixed
together.. Doing research on Church Of The Saturday Saints I found out
that- The Pogues are an influence as well as
Social Distortion.The CD
was recorded on Analog Tape by Bart Thurber at House Of Faith in
Oakland, CA.. Standout tracks are "No Promises", "Battle
Angel", "Tore
Up" and "Tequila Breeze".
