THE CATHOLIC GIRLS - Meet the Catholic Girls, CD, Cinema Records:
by KarlSnarl, RMC
Reluctant Music Critic

Here we have the catechism of strong woman vocal/writing talent doing mostly rock songs about love and longing with infectious emotion. The Girls open with a solid power-rock piece Rock'n America and wind through blues, power-pop, emo ballads and a sorta country song, the Only One, where their strengths are outstanding in the arrangement, hooks, vocal and instrumental unity. I'd go along with their acknowledged influences being The Pretenders, Ramones and Patti Smith.
Cool CD disc art/production.
