Pensacola, Florida based comedian and founder of The Deadbeats of Comedy, Bubbs Harris has set the date to record his first full length album, which will also be filmed for a dvd release, "Here Comes Trouble" in his hometown to kick off his March tour with Carlos Valencia on 3/10.
Depression, Anxiety, Adversity, Suicide Attempts, Single Parenting, Small Town Blues;....these are just a few of the topics Bubbs Harris fearlessly tackles both onstage and off. With an arkane ability to turn personal tragedy and fault into hilarious fodder for the stage, Harris has been relating to audiences across the country with his brash, unapologetic style of humor, having been tapped as an opener and feature for the likes of Brian Posehn, Doug Stanhope, Jarrod Harris, Andy Andrist, Kristine Levine (Portlandia) and many more. Real life stories of hard times and fast living are what you can expect to hear on "Here Comes Trouble", which will be independently released by Harris this Summer.
The album will be Harris' third recording, having released two EPs under Born Dead Records, "Comedy's Not Dead" (2011) and "Reign in Bubbs" (2013), and will be his first recorded hour. To top it all off, he'll be recording the album on the FIRST night of tour.
"I've been gigging heavy with a lot of this material for a good while, so it is only fitting that the time come to lay it to rest and unleash all the new stuff", Harris says. "I chose the album title because it represents the way I feel a lot of other comics look at me. Whether they like me, or not, I'm always coming to destroy the stage and leave it all out on the stage, making my act a tough one to follow. I put every ounce of emotion and energy I can muster into every performance and cause a lot of trouble for anyone that has to follow".
"Here Comes Trouble" will be recorded at Back Porch Bar in Pensacola (the very room Harris got his standup comedy start in 2008) on Friday, March 10th, 2017, and will be the kickoff for his tour of the Southeast with Carlos Valencia (Doug Stanhope's Big Stink Tour, www.carlosvcomedy.com) from 3/10-3/21. Production, direction and mastering of the cd/dvd will be handled by Kenny Stanger (aka Pimpy K) of PMVN Productions.
